Meet Liz Flick, MFT

Liz Flick is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #92417) based out of Marin County, California who specializes in work with adult individuals and couples. Liz grew up being incredibly drawn towards understanding the complex world of emotions and relationships. She was always the one who preferred being in conversation with others about what was true and real beneath the surface of how we can often move through the world. This led her to pursue the field of psychology and ultimately counseling psychology.

Throughout her training and career, Liz has worked with individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents and groups throughout the Bay Area and beyond. She has been in private practice for over ten years and provided client care in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, and community mental health clinics.

Liz believes that our relationships are one of the most foundational parts of our well being- relationships of all kinds, with ourselves, with others and with the world. We are often not taught the tools and skills to build and maintain healthy relationships and Liz loves helping people learn these things so that they can have the fulfilling relationships that they desire and feel in charge of the type of life they are leading. Relationships also serve as important mirrors of parts of ourselves that need tending and care.

Liz is warm and collaborative and hates nothing more than the therapist stereotype of a therapist who sits there and goes "How does that make you feel?" She works to really get into things with her clients and provides compassionate directness and challenge when needed. Her work with individuals and couples is integrative and multidimensional- pulling from many different frameworks and philosophies and years of specialized training.

In her personal life, Liz enjoys being in nature, trying as many new restaurants as she can, chasing her golden retriever with her family, nerding out on astrology and exploring the mystery of the cosmos.
